Our Story
We started with a simple belief: some seeds are too important to lose. Everything we do flows from that conviction.
How It Started
We have been fascinated by plants our entire lives. These plant genetics became a different kind of obsession — not the commercialized, standardized version the industry pushes, but the old stuff. The rare stuff. The landraces and crosses that carry real history.
Seeds Worth Saving started in Maine as a way to do something meaningful with that obsession. Sourcing, documenting, and preserving varieties that deserve to stick around. It's a small operation, intentionally so — quality over quantity, every time.
Every seed in this collection has a reason for being here. We're just getting started.
What Guides Us
We never compromise on provenance. Every variety we offer is verified to its region of origin and preserved without hybridization or modification.
Preservation is not a solo act. We build networks of collectors who maintain living seed banks — keeping genetics active, not just stored.
We make decisions on a generational timescale. The seeds we save today are not for our benefit — they're for those who come after us.
